How Flags Are Generated
What Triggers an Alert
The AI moderation engine monitors all platform communications in real time and compares message content against known risk patterns. When a match occurs, the message is flagged and placed in your queue with a severity level and an AI-generated case summary. You do not need to monitor individual conversations — the AI brings concerning content to you.
Channel Evasion. Any request to move communication off the World Vision Connect platform — to WhatsApp, SMS, personal email, or any external service.
Financial Solicitation. References to money, gifts, payment, loans, or financial exchanges in communications involving youth participants.
Secrecy Language. Requests to keep conversations private from parents, other staff, or WVI supervisors. The phrase “don’t tell” in any form is a consistent trigger.
Address / Personal Data Sharing. Home addresses, personal identification numbers, unvetted images, or private contact details shared in youth communications.
Pattern Detection. Multiple lower-severity signals in the same conversation thread over time, even if individually below threshold. The system aggregates patterns.
